We've gone country
Eunice is enjoying her calling with the Sunbeams although most of the kids are kind of crazy at times because they just left from the nursery and are still learning about being reverent. Eunice's brother is coming in from Guatemala on the 20th and will be spending time with us for about a week before he goes to Utah for General Conference. This is going to be fun since I have never met him and Eunice hasn't seen him in 10 years.
Grandma is still Grandma and losing her memory more and more each day. Not to sound rude but besides child proofing the house for Christian we have also had to do things for grandma.
on to me not much say I was released from my calling as Elders Secretary just to be given another calling as the PFR, oh boy is this gonna be fun, but I look forward to it. Business has been growing and we have really expanded our product line since last Easter. Crazy that this all started with a cookie on a stick.
Well on to the title of this post. "We've gone country" we got a 40lb. box of Red Anjou Pears from the Church Pear farm for $10 and we decided to can then so we have been doing this all morning. UGH! Never again I think I will just buy 40 cans when they go on sale at Winco. Ha Ha

HOLY COW!!! 6 months already.

January 24th was Christian's 6 month birthday. WOW where does the time go.
Christian is so full of energy, he is just about ready to take off and start crawling, he gets up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, today he was in the hall and was using the wal to push off of to get himself moving.
We had his 6 month check up and he is 26" long and 16 lbs. He got 5 shots and he rocked barley a peep out of him. Christian is eating solid foods and loves anything you give him now but he is always trying to get our food and a couple of times he has been successful.
All is going good with Eunice and I, our business keeps growing and we keep coming up with new ideas all the time. We really want to come down to Salt Lake soon and really hoping we can do it before Christian turns 1.

Christmas and Updates

Im so bad at keeping this up to date but here is a little summary of what we have been doing.
One December 8th we went and cut down our Christmas Tree, Christian really enjoyed being out in the clod Mountain air. The following day we took him to the mall to get his picture taken with Santa, he did really good considering Santa smelled like cheese and beer. Ha Ha. The mall Santa had some serious yellow teeth maybe from eating yellow snow.
We are already for Christmas we got Christian some awesome development toys and some clothes. We look forward to next year when he will start to actually know a little more of what os going on .
Our Christmas cards got out a little late this year so if you haven't got it yet Merry Christmas from us to you and your family.
Aaron, Eunice and Christian.

Updates and Turkey Day

Wednesday we had Christians 4 month check up and shot visit. He does pretty good for getting shots he screams like a crazy man for about a minute and then it's over and back to normal life. I really can't stand the doctors assistant he looks like some kind of serial killer or one of those kind of guys that collects lint from the dryer at the laundromat and sniffs it. The doctor said he is doing awesome and seems to be really smart and strong, for about 2 weeks now CJ has been rolling over and this morning he started scooting but he doesn't realize he needs to lift his head so he is giving himself a serious rug burn.
The doctor gave us the go ahead to try some simple foods and he said we can mash up vegetables and fruits so on Thanksgiving we gave him a little mashed potato but he really didn't seem to be to incredibly impressed.
All is going great here our little business is picking up and we are finding new stores to sell our product at and we are working a huge deal with Sportsman's Warehouse.
Still living at the same address so make sure to send CJ lots of Christmas presents. HA HA

What little color we have around us...

Well it just sucks. Autumn is my favorite time of year and living around all these pine trees we really don't get much color like back in Utah. We manage by visiting Lithia Park in Ashland. We took Christian the other day there for a nature hike we really enjoyed the colors. We made a pile of leaves and laid Christian in them he really enjoyed the rustling sounds it made as he kicked his feet, he even cried when we picked him up. As I was taking his picture all these people gathered around and were telling us we had such a cute baby. Of course we know this we made him. HA HA.
Christian is very smiley now, he recognizes Eunice and my voice, and he really enjoys to hear Eunice and I speak in spanish. On Sunday's at church he sits on my lap looking forward like he is listening to the message and is really quite until Priesthood time, then I get to listen to about half the lesson. But I usually stand just outside the door and listen.
We are all doing good. We have new flavors of Cookie Pops and they are doing and we have 2 more for Christmas. I even made one to look like a turkey for Thanksgiving. The new flavors are: Caramel Apple Crunch, Chocolate Pumpkin, Chocolate Caramel, and the Christmas flavors are Candy Cane and Egg Nog.

MIssing my family

Im really just in a funk right now. Im missing my sisters in Utah, I don't care how cheesy this sounds but Im looking at their blogs and just wanting to cry. I miss spending time with them. I really wish I was there so I could just talk to them. The phone just isn't the same. I love you guys. I really hope we can come to Salt Lake soon so you can meet your new little nephew. Christian is growing so fast. He is such smiley kid and does so much to impress us day by day.
Today is cold and rainy, we are going to try to drive up to Union Creek to take some fall pictures. I love the fall. Eunice let me buy some totally off the wall colors to her normal Sage Green and Purple. I bought a Pumpkin Orange Comforter and brown pillows and some striped curtains with warms fall colors. I have a huge project ahead of me Im going to make a headboard for our bed. I think it will be easy but fun to do at the same time. (I will post pics when I get them).

CHRISTIAN and updates.

WOW crazy times and such. Christian is growing so fast we went for his 2 month check up and shots and he up to 12 lbs. and 24" long the doctor says that puts him above average for his age. HE has been able to lift his head and hold it steady for about 3 weeks. He also has been supporting his own weight now on his legs for a couple weeks. He is nothing like a newborn. He is very talkative and smiley. THIS KID ROCKS!!!
• Let's see Eunice is almost back to her pre birth weight, not like we thought she wouldn't not like me she enjoys exercise (DISGUSTING). She is just enjoying a be at home mom.
• The cookie pop business is doing good and we are always looking for new places to sell them. The popcorn seasonings have done awesome especially the Apple Cinnamon flavor. We are going to make some gift box sets for Christmas with all three flavors and a bottle of Gourmet Popcorn kernels. We are also working on many other ideas for the holidays.
• As for me, hmmmm thats a fun one last week I almost died I choked on a piece of chicken at the KFC and the workers refused to help. They did however call a ambulance and I got to ride to the ER with oxygen and such. Not really fun. I was so sore from all the convulsing until yesterday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER CHOKING. Other than that all is good here. Grandma is good and we are all doing ok.

The Coast
For Labor Day we drove out to the coast and through the California Redwoods with. We spent our time driving out there we stopped at Taylor's Sausage in Cave Junction for a Hot Dog. That guy makes an awesome dog. We took a small hike through the Stout Grove. Its so beautiful to see the red trees with the contrast of the green pine needles. Its simply amazing to see those 300+ foot tall trees. Then we drove out to Crescent City. It was high tide so we we were not able to walk out to the lighthouse. Victor, Eunice and I went and played in the Ocean, it was a little cold but very enjoyable. Can't wait to go back again.
Baby Blessing
On Sunday September 6th we had Christians Baby Blessing. This was a really awesome spiritual event. I was so happy to have so many friends and family to be a part of this day and I know Christian will be blessed to have so many great priesthood holders in his life. Eunice's mom, brother (Victor) and sister (Claudia) were able to come up for the blessing. Afterwards we had a light lunch and sat around and talked a little bit. It's such a great thing to be able to hold the keys of the Priesthood and with the authority to be able to give my son a blessing.

Our Little Christian is growing so fast.

Friday we had an appointment with the doctors to check up on Christian and Eunice's health everything went well until we got to the weighing and measuring. Holy heck Christian weighs 10lbs now and 22" inches long (FYI at birth he was 7.2lbs and 20" long only 5 weeks ago) the doctor said that puts him in the top 69%. All is going well with them .
One of friend from church took some family pictures of us, since its hard for me to behind the camera as well as in front but this wouldn't be the first time.
Christian ROCKS! with his sleep we can usually put him down at 9:30pm and he wakes between 3-4:30 he puts out this little whimper cry that sounds like he is calling out MOM but we all know that is impossible especially since we know his first word is either gonna be DAD or DUDE. But then Eunice feeds him and he is back to sleep.
Well Im selling the spices and such on etsy at www.madewithloveoregon.etsy.com the Farmers Market has been very good to us this year both in our buying awesome fruits and vegetables and our selling. Last week we went and picked Peaches at 40¢ per pound and it's almost that time to head to the church Pear farm.
Well I'm off to bed, GOODNIGHT
OH yeah if your looking for somthig yummy and different for dinner head on over to www.simplecookin.blogspot.com

Coming Home
Finally after 3 long days in the hospital we get to come home. Christian has been a good sport with having to sleep under the UV lights and wearing a mask everyday. We did get to hold him and feed him but it was limited but now that we are home we don;t want to put him down. I hope we don't spoil him.
Our Little BiliRubin Baby
When Christian was born he had a little jondus, they were a little concerned so they did a blood test and found his billirubin was a little high so they wanted to keep him under an Ultarviolet light for 24-48 hours. This was a pain to have to stay in the hospital extra days but we were willing to make sure we take home a healthy baby boy. I really loved Ashland Community Hospital, they were really good with delivering Christian and they took really awesome care of us, all except for the food. They never could get an order right. it wasn't until the day we went home they finally got my breakfast right but I was to excited to ge home so I didnt even eat much. BTW hey maybe BLUE here but he is a Ute Fan 110%

He is finally here

Christian Jerome Clanton was born July 24, 2009 at Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland Oregon at 2:30pm. He weighed 7 lbs 2 ounces and was 20" in length. Eunice's water broke on July 23rd the 4 year anniversary of when I asked Eunice to marry me. Yeap that means her labor was just over 24 hours. She did awesome and I'm very proud of her.
